sara and brady denio

no offense to the other couples out there, but on this day (07/07/07), at this moment, in this picture... i was with the most beautiful couple in the world on their wedding day. sara was absolutely beautiful, and brady could not stop smiling all day. god could not have put together a more perfect combination.

i wish i could tell you that the ceremony was a beautiful one, however, aymeei was running late, so we missed it. we did get to the church, in just enough time to congratulate the bride and groom and the whole family. there we met up with the whole damn express algonquin team... sara bowen, adrian, kristin, sarah weber, uliya, and special guest victor from cherryvale.

we all met up at the rockford country club for the reception and let me just tell you that the place was beautiful. the whole east side of the club was windows, overlooking the rock river. the chairs were covered in satin, with pale green ribbons and the tables were decorated with calla lilies in two foot glass vases.

we had one hour to drink our cocktails and i sure as hell took advantage of it. three beers, two meatballs, and a couple smoke breaks later, andrea arrived with ray. they broke one of the cardinal wedding day rules... "thou shalt not take away from the wedding day of another, by announcing thine own engagement." i don't know where exactly this rule is written, but for fuck's sake, andrea should have known better.
so andrea and ray are engaged. yippie. apparently ray took the rock from andrea's previous marriage and had it re-set. i'm not judging, but c'mon, folks. karma?

anyways, we all sat at the same table, and enjoyed a delicious meal. we heard some emotional speeches and watched an entertaining and well produced wedding video. we drank lots of wine and laughed and told stories. i was flirting with sarah w. a little bit, which was funny because andrea kept trying to make a big deal out of it. sarah became my pseudo-date since i didn't have one, much to the dismay of her own date.
we danced and drank a little more. took a couple smoke breaks, which aymeei hated because she was left alone on the dance floor. there was just a little time to talk to and dance with the happy couple. i took about 99 pictures throughout the night, mostly myspace (self-taken) group shots. at some point, i ended up hot boxing with some people (who shall remain nameless), and really getting funked up!
after that point, there was some dancing, some m&m eating (wedding favors), and more flirting with sarah. it was just a really fun night, very entertaining, very beautiful, and very hazy... toward the end. someone decided that we all should leave, and i was thankful that i did not drive that night.

what a wonderful day!

it's always an honor being invited to a wedding, and when you are surrounded by so much love and happiness, it gives you great hope and excitement for the day that it becomes your turn to celebrate.
