bleh.

i didn't do much saturday. should've joined the crew at the naperville ribfest. they were meeting up at 4:00pm, and by 3:00pm i hadn't even gotten out of bed. the batteries have been taking a little longer to recharge these days... either that, or the six shots of petron the night before, busted me up good.
danny had a nice evening, but you'll have to read his blog to find out about that one... oops, he doesn't have a blog. oh well.
we met up today to talk about his evening, and then watch some movies. sunday is family day, so we like to catch a good meal and relax. we try to get others out, but everyone is as lazy as we are, and they're having their family day as well. today i ended up eating with with the family, and joining danny for his homemade sloppy joes. i say homemade because danny didn't cook very often, until recently. and it seems like he's been doing a good job.
so we saw 1408, which i had no idea existed, because it was being advertised while i was in europe. it turned out to be okay. i liked the story, but something was missing. i won't ruin it for you if you want to watch it, there's some spooky parts, and some interesting twists and turns, but i'd wait to rent it. i give it a C-, because john cusack didn't give me the feeling like he was really scared in parts of the film where i would really be scared in. also, i had a hard time getting immersed in the film because a crew of 16 year old girls behind us kept shrieking unnecessarily during the film. and every time they talked, i jumped back to reality and remembered that i was watching a movie.

i hate that shit. especially when i'm really getting into it.

so 1408: C-. watch it alone. it may be better.

the baby back bbq ribs missed you too! armadillo's, rasta joe's, and pigfoot were the top 3 in my opinion! remember this for next year!
