who sings that?

so i saw this jcpenny commercial today and i noticed two things... number one, jcpenny's marketing department or the ad agency that's helping them, has been doing a great job trying to improve their image. kudos to them. number two, they've been using some great background music in their commercials. i know that regina spektor sang one of the older ones, but in the one i saw, they used the song " all that i want ", by the weepies . and by the way, i don't know if you pronounce it weep-ies, like freebies or wee-pies, like levi's . anyways, i think that if you don't watch tv a lot, you pay more attention to the commercials, and in this particular case, the soundtrack was delicious.

the following blog was started on saturday, june 23 @ 6:30am , but i've had so many details to add, that it didn't get finished until now. Friday, June 22, 2007 nevermind that my flight from budapest to milan was delayed. nevermind that my flight from milan to london was delayed too. nevermind that somewhere in the chaos of the two delays, my baggage didn't make it to london with me. nevermind it all. nevermind that what i chose to wear on this journey was a pair of shorts and a plain white t-shirt. and nevermind that it was cold and rainy in london. nevermind that tesco metro doesn't sell jeans, and that all the clothing stores are closed by 8pm . nevermind it all. the reason to nevermind, is one word... fabric . let's start (unecessarily) at the beginning, to overemphasize the impact of this night in my life. if you don't know what drum and bass (dnb) is, click here . if you do know, or you don't really care, continue. all you need to know about it ...

i've had a rough go at it, the past couple of days. the stomach's been a mess... the sleep has been non-existent. then today, at the end of a training session, one of my regulars asked me a question. no doubt it was because i was staring into space. "where are you?" "huh?", i responded, trying desperately to remember what we were just talking about. "you're not yourself today." i apologized to her and told her that i had some things on my mind. "i could tell that you weren't here today." i told her that she was astute. i literally said the word "astute". and without even asking what was wrong, she offered the following... "you know, god has a plan... you may not like it, but everything happens for a reason... and everything is going to be okay." if i wasn't surrounded by customers and co-workers... something bad would've happened, but i kept my composure. i told her thanks and she gave me a little pat o...
