where are they now?
met up with arielle, anna, lexy, and jessica for a quick recap of the summer that has past us and the summer that we have left. i forgot to take pictures, as i like to include them in every blog. shite.
arielle just got back from a one-month trip in rome, where she studied art history and photography. she partied every night and that's all i'm at liberty to discuss, without proper authorization. suffice it to say she had a good time. i found out that her favorite gelato combination is mango and grapefruit. while she was talking, her hands almost knocked anna's head off... multiple times.
anna bean is working a hefty 10 hour work week at your favorite shoe store. she's been to some decent events this summer, but nothing crazy has happened. she's got an all expense paid vacation at lollapalooza this weekend, so look out for her! she told me some other stuff too, but that's not for your ears (or eyes) either. i got the chance to talk to anna for the longest time i've ever had, to talk to her. it was very nice.
lexy was busy trying to be polite to jimbo, some drunk kid at the next table, who gave me a hug when i walked in. he told me that everyone had been talking about me and said that he felt like he knew me. eh? creepy fuck. he was harmless though. he was singing songs and proclaimed lexy as his girlfriend. because of this, i did not get to hear much about lexy's summer.
jessica was also unable to get a word in edgewise. mostly because arielle was at helm, recounting her tales of italian life (it was afterall, arielle who brought the group together). i did find out that jessica works at the dq by my house, so i may have to hit her up for a discounted peanut buster parfait, before ice cream season ends.
as far as my summer... well, it's on here, on my blog. every moment, as much as i have the patience to type. what does the remainder have in store? a little more of the same... concerts, weddings, birthdays, etc. nothing big on the horizon, except maybe a trip to toronto for the virgin festival, with the smashing pumpkins, björk, killers, and others. it's on september 8 & 9, the weekend of my birthday.
i'm torn because roy bought me a ticket to the hideout block party in chicago on september 7 & 8, with bloc party, andrew bird, and mucca pazza. he told me to go to toronto if i wanted, but crikey! decisions, decisions.
