ugh. i always seem to act like a little dork when she smiles at me.

weekend recap
so i fucking hate doing this recap, recap shit. but here goes anyways.

friday i didn't know what the fuck to do. all i knew is that the week was strange and i needed to get away. so, to the city i went. so, dave kim, chuck, and i went to the museum of contemporary art or the mca for first fridays. it was pretty sweet because there were some mad hotties all dressed up... too bad they were all pretentious looking biatches. of course, i never talked to them, so they were probably cool. anyways, they were spinning some jungle when we came in. pretty nice. dave and i ate some of the free wolfgang puck hors o'devours and froze our asses off on the patio.
it was cool because we saw leah (and her lugnut), indian jay, tam, ciara (and crew), and ann (a girl i have yet to meet) and roy and mark made a late apperance after a happy hour with the french co-workers. we walked around the museum and some of the work was inspiring, but most of it was just artsy fartsy bullshit. what the fuck? anyways, we all got free passes to the funky buddha lounge so at 10:00, we motored over there.
at the funky buddha we got prime seats at the bar in the back and i attacked a couple of vodka gimlets. the bartender wasn't wearing a bra, so i became a typical male and oogled her all night. whatever. anyways, it was hip-hop night, so the music was good and we spent most of the time talking about our summer trip and relationships and astrological signs. although ann was sitting very close by, i did nothing to make my presence known and probably looked like a jackass in doing so.

saturday was lazy. chuck went on a bike ride while i sat in the apartment and watched my tape of the thursday night nbc shows. he came back and we went to wendy's for a late lunch. we then came back and watched the heist and pondered our next move. dave was being lazy, roy was out of town, and chuck had homework to finish. so i went to the division/ashland block party alone. i got there about 15 minutes before mest began to perform. mmm... fun. once again i was surrounded by mad cuties, but they were all too young. i chugged a couple beers and chuck picked me up to go to dinner with mark.
we decided to check out bone daddy for some ribs and what-nots. it was great food, but the service was shite. i normally tip well, but this time i had to go with just under 15%. sorry. we went back to chuck's to watch a little snl, which was pretty funny, but we left around 11:30 to catch a 12:00am showing of changing lanes. it turns out that the film is okay, garnering a B- from both mark and me. wait for the rental.

sunday we pulled our semi-usual wicker park brunch. this time it was the good old soul kitchen. jim and roy met up at chuck's and then when the phucster showed up, we all walked over to the 6 corners. irene (it was her birthday) met up with us and managed to upset me to the point where i became evil bj. oops. it was an entertaining time however and it made me laugh my evil laugh. after that, we all split up and i went home to take a little nappy. at about 9:00pm, chuck called me up so that we could catch a 10:00pm showing of spiderman. kirsten dunst is hot and i gave the film a B.

so today i show up like an hour late for 104, but i bought a shitload of munchkins for everyone to eat. nice. leslie and mary showed up in the class so that they could use the artograph, and i smiled my dumb smile. later in the morning, i saw mary walking, and i said something to the effect of, "i have doughnuts for you" or something just as whack. i smacked myself in the forehead for being such a dork and i walked away.
101 was a little better. we critiqued our logos. i sat next to leslie and mary, but hardly managed to speak to them the whole time. i suck. funny enough, i picked mary's brocolli man to critique first, and she tossed me her sweet little smile. fuck. later on, leslie told me i had a cool watch and my mouth turned into cotton. i barely said anything back. those two must think that i'm a weirdo.
i hung out with the kids downstairs and jeanne showed up late. shit. only a couple days left with these kids and i'm worried about the void that's likely to develop after this semester is over. jeanne is such a rock star.
