second chance to make the same mistake twice

so i'm outside, smoking with nick, when she steps out there to join us... i was a blubbering fool. argh! anyways, i did find out that she'll be back in the fall taking digital photography with john, so i guess that i'll get a third chance some time down the road... sigh.

in 100 we critqued the cubes and everyone really did do some amazing stuff and tina seemed to like everything. then we cleaned up the classroom. fun. jamie left early, so i wasn't able to wish her luck. sigh. i ate lunch with shannon and melissa at subway and it looks like we'll be keeping in touch.

the last night class

so there's this girl who has sat next to me every single day in 115. her name is lisa. i could've sworn she was latina, but her last name is johnson. anyways, we've been pretty cool all semester. she told me (very early into meeting her) that she had a boyfriend and a 3 year old boy, so i never had any inclination of asking her to go hang out or anything... funny thing is, she's been asking me to go out (non-chalantly) for the past couple of weeks now.

today, being the last day of this class, i finally caved in and went out for a drink at this bar called booker's, right by ecc. nice. we went out with kelly, this crazy chick who sat in the back of the class. it was quite a fun time, and no, lisa did not break up with her boyfriend. i think she was just looking to make some friends, which is absolutely fabulous. at the risk of sounding judgemental (which i am not), an interesting conversation started when both of them began talking about their therapists and how they're both on paxil. good times.

these girls are really cool and i hope i can hang with them again sometime.

hot bbq

after i left the bar, i went to jay's condo in elgin. he had italian beef and brats. i had two. we conversed with some of kenny's co-workers and a good part of the fremd crew. kenny and i played guitar and sang cheesy songs. the blondie reminded me of pink, but as usual, she was too young.
